You don’t have to like WWE. You can continue to call it fake. But what you do have to do is respect it’s talent. I don’t think any WWE fan appreciates it when people claim the wrestlers need to “get a real job” or when they bad mouth wrestlers for no good reason. Hate WWE all you want, but don’t disrespect people that put their body on the line every time they go out there to entertain their fans. They sacrifice more than anyone could imagine. They do have a “real job” and I will always be proud to be stand up for them.
May is always a tough month for me, but I will celebrate the life of my dear brother Owen by smiling all day at all the hilarious memories he left me with. He’s probably ribbing God himself up in heaven right now. Miss him everyday!

COMMENTARY | The Roman poet Ovid once said, “A horse never runs so fast as when he has other horses to catch up and outpace.” That was certainly the case in the late 1990s when Vince McMahon and the WWE faced real competition from WCW and, to a lesser degree, ECW. But in 2013, McMahon is more secure atop the pro wrestling world than anyone in history.

See, I don’t give a damn about Don Owen and Sam Mushnick and Jim Crockett, I care about what you did to me and my family. How you stole my dreams, how you stole my legacy, how you stole everything that ECW represented. Because while Doink the Clown had green hair and a rubber nose, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was drinking his first beer in ECW, damn you! While Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund were dancing around singing “Tutti Fruitti”, ECW was producing the edgy TV that you named Attitude. ‘Oh, we’ve got attitude!’ You’ve got nothing, man! What you’ve got is my ideas and you stole my life, my money, my legacy! SCREW YOU! SCREW YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
